Carson City agency honored with industry awards for highest standards of excellence in public relations
CARSON CITY, Nev. – In Plain Sight Marketing may need a bigger display case after receiving new honors from the most recent Public Relations Society of America’s Silver Spike Awards and other industry tributes.
The awards, which examine and honor the highest level of public relations and communications work in Northern Nevada received more than 77 entries from the local region and was judged by the San Francisco chapter of PRSA.
“The PRSA process always begins with research,” Renee Plain, co-owner and CEO of IPSM, said. “This is the best way to go for our clients because data, research, and a thoughtful approach takes the guesswork out of what we are doing and why we are doing it. Our bottom line is to deliver the best results for our clients but recognition from our public relations peers means a lot to the entire team.”
IPSM projects recognized included a Bronze Spike Award for Overall Campaign for the East Fork Professional Firefighters’ Leukemia & Lymphoma Stair-Climb Campaign; the Award of Excellence in Public Affairs for and Media Relations, Owned, for the Buckeye Farms at Park Ranch agrihood concept campaign; and a Bronze Spike for Media Relations, Owned, for the launch of Carson Valley Meats’ monthly Ranch Boxes.
Besides the recognition given by PRSA, IPSM earned two more awards for client work including an Award of Excellence for Corporate Communications for the 2019 Feeding Pets of the Homeless Annual Report in the Non-Profit Communications category from the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts and a Gold Award in Best Investor Relations from the 2021 Bulldog PR Awards. These awards were shared with G8 Strategies, who collaborated with IPSM on the project.

We will take the lessons we learned from these campaigns with us into future projects”.
